Meet Sylvia, Your Head Coach Inside the Happy Healthy Hormones Program

I have always had an issue with my weight since my early 20s and have always struggled with what to eat because there are so many diets out there promising that you will lose 30 lbs in 10 days (which by the way is BS). My weight would constantly yo-yo and I’d be trying out a new diet every month. In 2020, I was determined to lose weight so I signed up with a personal trainer, had an individualized meal plan made up and exercise regime. After a few months on this program, I did not lose a single pound. What I didn’t know at that time, was that this was the beginning of a beautiful journey. At that time being in my early 30s and having two children, my body was imbalanced. I was a mama of two small children, taking on too many things, too many projects with also running a home daycare at that time and often, I would forget to eat! I was burnt out! My hair was falling out, I was gaining weight in my belly, upper arms and back area, my periods were heavy, irregular and I was experiencing the worst PMS ever! My husband avoided me like the plague because my mood was all over the place. I also had no libido whatsoever.

I didn’t feel fine anymore. I didn’t feel like myself and I knew I was headed for a disaster if nothing changed. I wanted answers. So I enrolled in Nutrition School and I slowly unlearned everything I knew. I changed my entire outlook when it came to food. I put myself first so then I could have the energy to take care of my daughters. I traded in HIIT for walking and yoga. I healed my emotional trauma when it came to my body and began to accept and love myself. I took a better look at my calendar and started scheduling less.

The non-stop, high intensity always “go go go” and going harder in life will mess with your hormones, your period, make menopause a nightmare and contribute to inflammation, puffiness and weight gain.

I make sure everything I say yes or no to in my life aligns with my hormones, my digestion and my nervous system FIRST.

FAQs 

When does it start?

This program runs twice a year in the Spring and in the Fall and because I want to be there 100% for my clients + I only accept 8 women at a time. If you have any questions about when the next program will start, feel free to email me info@sylviawellness.com

What’s covered in the consultations?

Consult #1 – INITIAL CONSULTATION (60 mins) – our first session together is an opportunity to get to know you, your health history, any struggles or imbalances going on, your current health, lifestyle and where you want to move forward in your journey. How do you want to FEEL by the end of our journey and where can I help?

Consult #2 – DUTCH REVIEW (30 mins) – I will go over your DUTCH test and blood work (within 3 months) and show you the connections with your currently health struggles and what’s going on in your body. This will help us outline your next steps.

Consult #3 FINAL CONSULT (30-45 mins) – This session I want to make sure you are educated, empowered and inspired to move forward in your health journey. I will also check in to see if the protocol is working or if we need to tweak a few things.

What is included in the initial intake form? 

This assessment tool helps both you and I to take a deeper look into your current health; mind, body and soul. You may notice writing about things you didn’t realize were bothering you or affecting your day-day living unless someone asked you. It helps to breakdown certain signs and symptoms, especially in the area of your hormones, digestive health and inflammation patterns.

What is involved in the blood work analysis?

I will ask you to send over your latest blood work (completed within 3 months) by either your GP or Naturopathic Dr. If your GP won’t do the full blood work, there is a Naturopathic Dr I can send you to. Once we have your results, we do a full analysis and explain what’s going on in your body, what is or isn’t sitting in the functional optimal ranges (different than western medicine) and how we want to catch things in your body if they are at sub-optimal levels.

What is the Happy Healthy Hormones fee? 

The investment is $1599.99 + applicable tax, which includes the cost of the DUTCH test.

What are my payment options?

OPTION 1: PAY IN FULL. Pay for the entire program up front.
OPTION 2: PAY MONTHLY FOR 6 INSTALMENTS. The total for the program + tax is divided into 6 equal payments.

What is on the meal plan?

So I’m going to be completely honest and say that there isn’t a specific meal plan but meal guides and what this means is that for each meal I will have you focus on specific macronutrients (no we will not be counting macros or calories). This ensures that you are choosing whole foods that will work with your body and not against it to reduce inflammation and cravings, optimize digestion, bowels and energy. This guide lets you be in charge of what you are eating but with the guidance of choosing better for you foods. I will also be providing recipes for each meal of the day but these are just extra if you are up for trying them! I promise, they will be delicious.

What type of exercise and how much are we required to do?

Depending what’s going on in your body, I will offer specific exercise or movement suggestions. If you currently don’t work out or move your body, I will put together a few recommendations.

Are there supplements involved?

Yes. I recommend a few Foundational supplements which I encourage you to purchase. They aren’t mandatory but they will really help you in your health journey. If you aren’t setting the foundation, your body simply won’t respond in the way you’re hoping. My supplement recommendations aren’t crazy and the whole family can use. Depending what’s going on hormonally, I may recommend additional support like supplements, herbs, tinctures or energy care work. I want supplements to be accessible by all so I offer 10% off through my personal Fullscript account.

Will I have more energy and sleep better with this program?

ABSOLUTELY. When inflammatory triggers are being removed, your body wants to go back into balance and then energy will improve, your mood will improve, your patience, your skin, bowel movements and overall outlook on life will improve. We work on improving every aspect of your body – beauty of holistic approach.

Will I lose weight?

Most likely, yes. Your body will finally begin to shed the excess pounds of inflammation and protection it has been carrying around for so long. This program is designed to giving your body what it needs to feel safe and supported. You will be cutting the crap and BS around the story you were told how your body functions. Once you learn the why, then the new way of eating, new supplements, new movement and shifting your perspective, the pounds will come off.

Are the weekly group calls live?

Every week I will be going live through zoom but it will be shared to our private facebook group so if you miss it, it will be up there.

Do I need to have Facebook to take part in the program?

While it’s not mandatory, it’s also highly recommended. I will be streaming the live weekly calls into the private FB group so if you miss it, you can catch the replay. The FB group is where you can ask general questions and interact with other program members.

Am I able to claim this program through my benefits?

Sylvia is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist so if that is covered by your insurance company, by all means write it off. You will receive an invoice and receipt upon registration. I cannot prorate receipts as a company.

What is the DUTCH test?

The DUTCH (dry urine test for comprehensive hormones) is a hormone test that is included in the price of the program.

Is this program refundable?

No.
